Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klay Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuire comes to the cage accompanied by Five Finger Death Punch - Jekyll And Hyde. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire thuds his shin into the meat of Thompson's side.
Thompson misses with a double jab
and McGuire counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
McGuire scoring with punches to the head and body.
Thompson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McGuire.
McGuire passes Thompson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if McGuire is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
McGuire working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGuire throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

McGuire is pressing down on Thompson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Thompson is holding on for now.
McGuire lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
McGuire drops an elbow to the side of Thompson's head.
McGuire slips a nice elbow through Thompson's hands, connecting with Thompson's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGuire working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

McGuire winds up and cracks Thompson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
McGuire looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McGuire slows the pace down in half guard.
McGuire seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Thompson for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McGuire works his way into side control.
McGuire takes a little break here. Thompson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

McGuire is staying tight to Thompson's torso, preventing him from escaping.
