Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ramses Kolmas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Foster! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kolmas tries to land a front kick but Foster steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Foster shoots in for a takedown but Kolmas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Foster avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kolmas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Foster swats him away and circles back towards the center. Foster avoids a kick to the body.
Kolmas looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Foster shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kolmas as he avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kolmas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kolmas doesn't manage to clinch there - Foster circles away.
Kolmas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. As Kolmas backs off Foster throws a huge counter combo but Kolmas manages to avoid it all. Kolmas misses with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolmas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Foster defends it nicely. Foster is looking for the big counter here. Foster shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kolmas but Kolmas pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ramses Kolmas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Foster. Kolmas throws a front kick aimed at Foster's knee but Foster avoids it well. Kolmas misses with a body kick. Foster lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Kolmas throws a head kick but Foster moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kolmas fakes the leg kick and cracks Foster in the body. Kolmas clinches. With the fighters up against the cage, Kolmas throws an elbow but misses. Kolmas pushes off an throws an elbow but Foster leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kolmas. Foster blocks an elbow strike. Foster avoids a wild elbow strike from Kolmas. Foster blocks an uppercut.
Kolmas throws an elbow that misses.
Kolmas lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Kolmas wants a takedown but no success here.
Foster blocks a body shot from Kolmas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster gets a trip takedown into half guard. Kolmas is looking for a sweep. Foster is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kolmas is trying to maintain the position but Foster is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kolmas wants to improve his position but Foster is controlling well.
Kolmas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kolmas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kolmas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Foster is one step ahead there. Foster tries to free his leg and advance position but Kolmas is retaining full guard. Foster wants to control from the top but Kolmas keeps moving. Kolmas is trying to control the position but Foster postures up. Kolmas keeping moving, preventing Foster from controlling successfully. Kolmas lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Kolmas chips away with some ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kolmas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kolmas scoring with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ramses Kolmas dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kolmas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Foster manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kolmas lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Foster has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Foster and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kolmas pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kolmas throws a sloppy head kick and Foster counters with a three punch combo that has Kolmas backing up. Kolmas nods at Foster to acknowledge the strikes. Kolmas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kolmas working away. Kolmas goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Foster has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kolmas but great work by Foster. Foster working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kolmas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Foster wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolmas regains half guard. Kolmas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kolmas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kolmas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Foster pulls his head out easily. Foster is working for a submission of some sort.
Kolmas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Foster trying to control from Kolmas's half guard. Kolmas has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Kolmas looking to control.
Kolmas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Foster controls from within his opponent's guard. Foster avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Foster drops back looking for a leg! Kolmas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kolmas manages to kick Foster off! Foster jumps back into Kolmas's guard. Kolmas is trying to keep Foster in close.
Foster is posturing up here but Kolmas has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Foster tries to roll out but it's too tight and Foster has to tap! Slick submission there by Kolmas!
