Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niko Alzate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Munchack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Niko Alzate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Franklin Munchack! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Munchack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Alzate connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Franklin Munchack has been cut. Nice defenses there by Munchack. Munchack feints the counter takedown. Alzate decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Munchack wants to improve his position but Alzate is controlling well.
Munchack is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alzate's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alzate's back! Alzate is in bad spot here.
Alzate grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Alzate tries to roll but Munchack sticks to his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Munchack is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Alzate has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Munchack is controlling the position but Alzate somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alzate is concentrating on defense, preventing Munchack from advancing position. Munchack controlling the pace. Alzate is trying to maintain the position but Munchack is very close to passing his half guard. Munchack wants to free his trapped foot but Alzate is holding on for dear life with his legs. Munchack is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Munchack lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Munchack trying to control from Alzate's half guard. Alzate has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Alzate pulls Munchack in close to prevent any damage. Alzate is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Munchack trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alzate not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Munchack won't allow Alzate to sweep him here. Munchack trying to control the position from guard on top but Alzate is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munchack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alzate has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Munchack has managed to get both his arms back between Alzate's legs - danger averted. Alzate keeping moving, preventing Munchack from controlling successfully. Alzate looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Alzate scores with a takedown into Munchack's guard. Munchack is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Alzate showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Munchack tries to land a sweep but no joy. Alzate wants to control from the top but Munchack keeps moving. Alzate tries to free his leg and advance position but Munchack is retaining full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Munchack is on top in guard.

Munchack shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Alzate. Munchack does a little dance to reset his feet. Munchack checks a low kick from Alzate. Alzate ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Munchack moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munchack bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nice defenses there by Munchack. Munchack tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Alzate shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Alzate was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! You can see the frustration on Munchack's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Alzate throws a strike aimed at the side of Munchack's head but Munchack avoids it well. Munchack is not content to let Alzate control the position. Alzate working away. Alzate wants to control but Munchack is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Munchack wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Alzate throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Alzate is looking to take a break and control but Munchack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Munchack can't do much from the bottom here. Munchack trying to remain calm as Alzate controls from the top position. Munchack wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Alzate in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alzate wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Munchack, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munchack tries to get back to half guard but can't. Munchack is not content to let Alzate control the position. Alzate lands a decent elbow from side control. Munchack avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Alzate. Alzate misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Munchack struggling a bit here. A lull in the action here. Alzate fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Alzate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alzate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Munchack is looking to regain half guard here but Alzate keeps moving and retains side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Munchack's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Alzate wants to lay and pray for a moment but Munchack keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Munchack tries to clinch but Alzate is having none of it. Munchack is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Alzate tries to counter with a takedown but Munchack is quick to defend against it. Alzate thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Munchack if he has to take too many more of those.

Alzate has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Munchack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Alzate might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Munchack is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Munchack wants to control from the top but Alzate keeps moving. Munchack postures up.
Alzate can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Munchack controls the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Alzate takes a swing at Munchack's ribcage but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Alzate fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Munchack is out of range. And Munchack tries to counter it with a takedown but Alzate pushes his down on his head and steps out. Alzate throws a push kick but Munchack slaps the foot to one side. Alzate misses the shot to the body. Alzate jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Niko Alzate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Munchack darts in and clinches Alzate up against the cage. Munchack looking for a takedown. A left hand lands to the body for Alzate.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Alzate lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Alzate stalling the fight.
Alzate lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Munchack backwards. Alzate pulls Munchack into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Niko Alzate showed his dominance in that final round. Well Alzate has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
