Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pyotr Korobeikin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Gerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gerson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: RAP JIU-JITSU. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pyotr Korobeikin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricardo Gerson! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Korobeikin throws a hook but Gerson blocks it. Korobeikin lands the left hand. Gerson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Korobeikin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gerson's guard. Korobeikin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Our spies down at at Netherlands Top Team & KT inform us that Gerson has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Gerson is striking but Korobeikin is not phased and passes to half guard. Korobeikin with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Korobeikin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gerson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Korobeikin is taking a breather. Gerson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Korobeikin moves nicely into side control. Gerson is pushing Korobeikin's head away, looking to escape. Korobeikin manages to hold on to the position though. Gerson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Korobeikin off and has taken his back! Gerson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Korobeikin has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Korobeikin tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Korobeikin tries to lock up and control but Gerson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Korobeikin is desperately trying to improve his position but Gerson has a good base and remains in mount. Korobeikin wants to control but Gerson is having none of it. Korobeikin is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gerson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Korobeikin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Korobeikin! Korobeikin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Korobeikin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gerson keeps working. Korobeikin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gerson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gerson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gerson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Korobeikin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Korobeikin prevents Gerson from improving his position. Korobeikin moves nicely into side control. Gerson can't do much from the bottom here. Korobeikin prevents Gerson from escaping the position. Korobeikin controls the position from side control. Korobeikin trying to control the action but Gerson is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Korobeikin looks to throw the jab but Gerson is out of range. Korobeikin pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Despite the aggression on Gerson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Korobeikin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Gerson shoots in but no luck this time. Korobeikin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gerson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Gerson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Korobeikin working away. Korobeikin in side control lands a decent elbow. Korobeikin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Korobeikin has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gerson! Korobeikin controlling the position easily from mount. Gerson wants to control but Korobeikin is having none of it. Pyotr Korobeikin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gerson tries to improve his position but Korobeikin has taken his back! Korobeikin has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Gerson tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Korobeikin pushes Gerson away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
