Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brophy comes to the cage accompanied by The Grumpy Song. Johnson has chosen Voodoo People as his entrance music. Bob Brophy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Thomas Johnson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Brophy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
38 - 36 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Johnson! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brophy lands a nice looking body kick. Brophy misses with a leg kick. Brophy scoring well with a low kick there.
Brophy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson. Brophy sizes up Johnson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Brophy lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Johnson backs up against the cage.
It looks like Thomas Johnson has been cut. Brophy throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range. Brophy cracks Johnson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Brophy has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Johnson to stand back up! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brophy looks for the body kick but Johnson saw that one coming. Brophy moves into range and clinches up with Johnson. Johnson has had enough of the clinch but Brophy keeps him there for the moment. Johnson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. A body shot lands from Brophy.
Johnson is trying to drag Brophy to the mat but Brophy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brophy fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bob Brophy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Johnson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brophy pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch. Brophy breaks the clinch.
Brophy looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Johnson throws a head kick that half lands.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brophy. Brophy throws a hook but Johnson avoids it easily. Johnson looks to clinch and Brophy counters with a nice uppercut. Johnson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brophy. Brophy scores with a decent looking hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brophy moves into the clinch. Brophy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Johnson backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brophy has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Brophy lands a left hand.
I was talking to Brophy's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A left hand lands to the body for Brophy.
Johnson looks winded! Brophy stops a takedown attempt from Johnson.
Brophy lands an uppercut. Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brophy just stands there and leans against the cage. Brophy lands with a right to the head. A left hand lands to the body for Brophy.
Johnson takes a shot to the head. Brophy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Johnson backwards. Brophy lands a body shot in the clinch.
Brophy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brophy throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Brophy drops Johnson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Johnson looks back up at him and smiles so Brophy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Johnson is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is holding his hands too far apart here. Brophy throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Johnson is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bob Brophy! During a confident post fight interview, Bob Brophy thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
