Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Isaac Rutledge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kees Flodder! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rutledge lands with a kick to the temple. Flodder shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Flodder drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rutledge dodges the ground and pound from Flodder. Flodder decides to stand back up. Rutledge wants to clinch up but Flodder keeps it at a distance. Flodder shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Flodder showed some decent athleticism there. Flodder is thwarting Rutledge's attempts to control the position. Rutledge wants to get back to full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rutledge looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Flodder lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rutledge has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Flodder is working away from the top position though. Rutledge is trying to get back to full guard. Flodder is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Rutledge has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Flodder is on him like a limpet, forcing Rutledge back against the cage. Rutledge throws an elbow but it misses.
Flodder misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rutledge.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rutledge breaks from the clinch.
Isaac Rutledge is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rutledge scores with a jab to the jaw. Rutledge gets a clinch. Rutledge scores with a shot to the side of Flodder's head. Rutledge avoiding damage.
Rutledge is fighting off a takedown attempt but Flodder is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rutledge to the mat. Rutledge regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rutledge is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Flodder is aware though and is defending well. Flodder controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rutledge looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Flodder passes into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Flodder controlling the pace. Rutledge actively working from the bottom here. Rutledge is breathing heavily. Flodder prevents Rutledge from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rutledge looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rutledge is trying to maintain the position but Flodder is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Flodder moves into full mount! Rutledge won't be happy about that! Flodder controlling his opponent. Flodder cracks Rutledge with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Rutledge is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rutledge taking shots to the head. Rutledge regains half guard. Flodder is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kees Flodder will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Flodder takes the fight into the clinch. Rutledge decides to pull guard. Flodder landing some decent shots from guard.
Rutledge is rocked! Flodder lands a couple of decent looking shots. Oh Rutledge is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Flodder decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Rutledge fails with an attempt to clinch.
Flodder closes the distance looking for a takedown. Rutledge stuffs it but Flodder still has hold of him. Flodder picks Rutledge up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Flodder slams Rutledge to the floor and that's really hurt Rutledge - he doesn't know where he is! Flodder throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kees Flodder!
