The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutledge lands with a kick to the temple. Flodder shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Flodder drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Flodder shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Flodder showed some decent athleticism there.

Rutledge has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Flodder is on him like a limpet, forcing Rutledge back against the cage.

Rutledge is fighting off a takedown attempt but Flodder is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rutledge to the mat. Rutledge regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Flodder closes the distance looking for a takedown. Rutledge stuffs it but Flodder still has hold of him. Flodder picks Rutledge up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Flodder slams Rutledge to the floor and that's really hurt Rutledge - he doesn't know where he is! Flodder throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
