The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanlagu is looking to clinch but Makunochi is avoiding it.
Makunochi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Tanlagu tries to bench press Makunochi off him but Makunochi keeps the position.
Makunochi lands a decent elbow from side control.
Makunochi advances nicely into full mount.
Makunochi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tanlagu is breathing heavily.

Tanlagu is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Makunochi postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tanlagu looks a forlorn figure.

Tanlagu takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Makunochi's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
