Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dory Raly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilkins has chosen Sans Pression - Numero 1 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dory Raly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 43 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Wilkins!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Raly.
Raly lands with a shot to the body.
Wilkins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Raly throws a leg kick which misses Wilkins's front leg but catches the back leg as Wilkins tries to avoid it.
Raly throws a nice outside leg kick.
Raly lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wilkins throws the kick towards the body but Raly avoids it.
A counter left hand to the body from Raly misses its target.
Wilkins throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
A looping hook to the body misses from Raly. Wilkins does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jay Wilkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilkins tries to clinch but Raly is having none of it.
It looked like Raly was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wilkins.
Wilkins on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Raly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wilkins on the side of the head.
Raly ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wilkins has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Raly throws a low kick but Wilkins avoids it.
Wilkins shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Raly but Raly pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Raly uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Raly fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wilkins.

Dory Raly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Raly lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wilkins shoots in but Raly avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Raly counters with a stiff right hand.

Wilkins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raly's waist but Raly gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wilkins off to one side.

Raly fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wilkins manages to avoid it.

Raly avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Wilkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Raly avoids it really well and circles away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wilkins.

Wilkins tries to clinch up but Raly circles away and keeps his distance.
Wilkins lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Wilkins is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wilkins takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Raly misses the shot to the body.
Wilkins falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wilkins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Raly throws a body shot but no joy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wilkins looks for a takedown but Raly sprawls well.

Raly thuds his right hand into Wilkins's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wilkins throws a series of punches but Raly moves out of range.
Wilkins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Raly lands a head shot.
Wilkins throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Raly counters with a thumping low kick.
Wilkins tries to clinch up
and Raly counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Raly misses with a body shot.
Raly lands with a nice body punch.
Raly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wilkins was well out of range. Poor timing from Raly.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wilkins swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Raly counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wilkins fails with a takedown attempt.
Wilkins misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dory Raly dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wilkins looks to throw a body kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Wilkins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Raly.
Raly lands a lovely overhand right.
Wilkins takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Raly makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Dory Raly is winning the standup battle so far.
Sloppy strikes from Wilkins. Those never looked like landing.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Wilkins might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Raly has got the better of the exchanges.

Wilkins throws a nice looking combination but Raly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Raly feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wilkins's calf.
Wilkins's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Raly works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Raly stuffs the takedown.
Raly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wilkins was well out of range. Poor timing from Raly.
Wilkins is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Wilkins has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Wilkins misses with a looping right.
Raly feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wilkinss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Wilkins tried to score with a low kick but Raly checks it.
Raly is looking to counter punch.
Raly swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wilkins.
Wilkins misses with a double jab.
Raly is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wilkins can do to turn this around?
Raly looks to score with a jab to the body but Wilkins is just out of range.
Wilkins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wilkins is trying desperately to land a takedown but Raly is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Wilkins.

Raly lunges at Wilkins with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wilkins's hand.
Wilkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Raly looks to score with a jab to the body but Wilkins is just out of range.

Raly lands a jab to the nose.
Wilkins looks to clinch
and Raly counters with a right hand to the body.
Raly lands an overhand right.
Wilkins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Raly keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wilkins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.


Wilkins is rocked!
Raly cracks Wilkins with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Wilkins tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Raly pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wilkins is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dory Raly!
After winning the bout, Dory Raly thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
