Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rafael Amaral! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Speed! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed tries a head kick but it misses.
Amaral forces Speed back against the cage and clinches. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Speed takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Amaral blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Amaral misses with a punch to the body.
Speed manages to break the clinch.
Amaral closes the distance and clinches. Speed tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Stalling in the clinch from Speed.
Speed lands a nice uppercut. Amaral scores with an uppercut up the middle. Amaral misses with a hook to the ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A frustrated look appears on Speed's face as he tries to break the clinch. Speed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Amaral closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Amaral blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Speed swings wildly with an uppercut but Amaral uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Speed softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
It looks like Rafael Amaral has been cut. Speed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Speed cracks Amaral with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Amaral looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Speed finish him?
Amaral is rocked! Speed looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Speed backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Amaral's temple! It sends Amaral violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Speed celebrates and the doctors try to help Amaral!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Tyson Speed! Tyson Speed really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Perkele! logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. In defeat, Rafael Amaral stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back!!!!'.
