Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Granville Dudley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dye Tryin! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ron Honeybunn and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Dudley with that takedown attempt. Tryin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dudley's calf. Tryin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dudley to the mat! Dudley manages to get full guard. Tryin lands a couple of digs. Dudley is looking to sweep but instead, Tryin has passed into half guard.
Tryin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tryin postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Dudley to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tryin doesn't manage to clinch there - Dudley circles away.
Tryin throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Dudley counters with a nice leg kick. Tryin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dudley was covering up waiting for the punch and Tryin finishes the takedown easily into guard. Tryin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Tryin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Tryin gets to his feet. Dudley looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tryin closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dudley quickly recovers to half guard. Dudley is defending against the submission attempts here by Tryin.
Dudley wants to improve his position but Tryin is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tryin moves into full mount! Dudley won't be happy about that! Tryin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dudley manages to avoid the submission attempt. Dudley being controlled for a moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tryin has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Dudley is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tryin yanks on the arm and Dudley is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tryin.
