Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Bittencourt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roman keeps the fight on the outside.
Bittencourt is looking to clinch.
Bittencourt clinches with his opponent.
Roman is trying to break free.
Roman jumps guard but Bittencourt stands there with Roman around his waist. Roman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Roman letting Bittencourt take a breather here.
Bittencourt breaks the clinch.
Roman keeps the fight on the outside.
Roman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bittencourt tries to escape but Roman is in control.

Roman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bittencourt keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roman decides to stand back up. Roman steps back and let's Bittencourt get back to his feet.
Roman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bittencourt trying desperately to get to his feet.
Roman looking to control but Bittencourt is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bittencourt is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Bittencourt is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Roman thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Roman controlling the position easily from mount.
Roman wants to control the action but instead Bittencourt gets a body lock and reverses into Roman's guard! Nice work!
Bittencourt is looking to stand up but Roman won't let him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Roman pushes Bittencourt up against the cage in a clinch.
Roman tries to pull guard but Bittencourt holds him up against the cage and eventually Roman drops back down to his feet.
Bittencourt lands a damaging elbow.
Bittencourt stops a takedown attempt from Roman.

Bittencourt wants to stand but Roman is controlling the position.

George Bittencourt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bittencourt wants to clinch up but Roman keeps it at a distance.

Bittencourt is looking to control Roman's arms but Roman gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bittencourt has his back to the cage.
Roman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bittencourt smiles and moves away.
Roman shoots in and bounces Bittencourt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bittencourt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Roman controls the pace.
Roman gets to his feet - Bittencourt follows without any prompting.
Bittencourt checks the leg kick nicely there.
Roman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Roman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bittencourt doesn't manage to clinch there - Roman circles away.
Roman has Bittencourt up against the cage in a clinch.
Roman fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bittencourt unloads a knee to the mid-section. Roman lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Bittencourt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bittencourt tries to close the distance and clinch but Roman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bittencourt lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Scott Roman has been cut.
Bittencourt has closed the distance and engaged Roman in a clinch.
Bittencourt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Roman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bittencourt is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Roman has just dragged him back down to the mat.
A lull in the action here.
Bittencourt is not content to let Roman control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bittencourt pushes Roman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Roman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Roman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bittencourt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Roman trying to control the action but Bittencourt is working from the bottom.
Bittencourt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bittencourt prevents Roman from improving position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Roman decides to stand back up. Roman steps back and let's Bittencourt get back to his feet.
Roman drives through and clinches with Bittencourt against the cage.
Bittencourt breaks the clinch.
Roman throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bittencourt is looking to clinch but Roman is avoiding it.
Roman gets the takedown into side control.
Roman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bittencourt keeps working.
Bittencourt is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Bittencourt tries to escape but Roman is in control.
Roman staying calm.
Roman wants to control but Bittencourt is keeping him busy.
Bittencourt pushes Roman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Roman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bittencourt bucks up and tries to throw Roman off but instead Roman has got his back!
Bittencourt has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Roman.
Bittencourt has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Bittencourt is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Roman punishes Bittencourt with strikes from the back mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Scott Roman's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Roman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bittencourt tries to clinch but Roman moves out of range.
Roman fails with a takedown attempt.
Roman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Roman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bittencourt paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Roman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bittencourt swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Roman looks to score with a jab to the body but Bittencourt is just out of range.
Bittencourt clinches up with Roman and pushes him back against the cage.

Bittencourt has picked Roman up - he's going for a ride! Bittencourt dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Roman is positioning himself well to prevent Bittencourt advancing to mount.

Roman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bittencourt wanted to stand there but Roman had control of the position.
Roman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Roman is looking to sinch up a triangle. Bittencourt throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Roman's body to avoid the submission. Roman has instead reached around Bittencourt's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Roman arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
