Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Nilsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole comes into the arena with I Won't Back Down blaring out of the sound system. Michael Cole could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dennis Nilsen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cole!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dennis Nilsen!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilsen throws a looping overhand right but Cole ducks down to avoid it.
Cole stuns Nilsen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nilsen digs a good body shot into Cole's ribs.
Nilsen takes one on the button.
Nilsen takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Nilsen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sloppy strikes from Nilsen. Those never looked like landing.
Nilsen moves out of range of the strikes.
Nilsen throws a lazy uppercut
and Cole connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Cole counters with a stiff right hand.
Nilsen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nilsen dips to his left and cracks Cole with an uppercut!

Nilsen shoots in looking for a takedown but Cole manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nilsen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nilsen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cole's head backwards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nilsen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Cole has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
