Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chase Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Henderson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chase Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Henderson !
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson shoots in and drives through. Walsh sprawls well.
Walsh feinted with a counter takedown.
Henderson moves in looking to clinch but Walsh pushes him off.
Henderson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Walsh defends well and Henderson ends up having to push Walsh into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Tony Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Walsh drives through with a takedown into Henderson 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Walsh stays in close to Henderson 's body and controls the position.
Walsh has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walsh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Walsh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Henderson for as long as he can get away with.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Walsh counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Henderson !

Walsh is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Henderson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Walsh decides to stand back up.

Walsh shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Henderson is trying to defend but Walsh finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

and Walsh counters by clinching up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Walsh has Henderson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Walsh pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Henderson tumbling to the mat - Walsh dives into Henderson 's guard.

Walsh engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Walsh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Walsh gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Henderson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walsh smiles and moves away.

Walsh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Henderson 's guard.
Henderson is wriggling around but Walsh manages to pass to half guard.


Walsh escapes and gets back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Henderson gets caught napping as Walsh dives in and scores a takedown. Henderson manages to retain guard.
Henderson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Walsh dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chase Walsh dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The ground and pound from Walsh seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Henderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walsh pinned against the cage. Walsh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Henderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Walsh drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Henderson pushes Walsh off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Henderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Walsh sprawls well. He's pushed Henderson 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Walsh attempts a counter takedown but Henderson avoids it well and moves away.

Henderson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Walsh decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Well, if Walsh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Walsh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Walsh connects with a nice short shot to Henderson 's temple.
Walsh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Walsh stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Henderson to get to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Henderson enables Walsh to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Henderson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Walsh decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Walsh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
