Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Navi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Navi has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Felipe Chapman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Navi! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chapman has managed to clinch.
Navi looks winded! Chapman manages to break the clinch.
Navi tries to keep at a distance but Chapman has taken the fight into the clinch. Chapman ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chapman no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Chapman lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Navi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chapman controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chapman stands up and waves to Navi to follow him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chapman has managed to clinch.
Chapman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Navi misses with a two punch combination.
Chapman is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Navi.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chapman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Chapman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Chapman stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. A momentary lapse in concentration from Navi enables Chapman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Navi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Chapman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Chapman gets to his feet - Navi follows without any prompting. Navi has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Chapman is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chapman throws a right hand that Navi ducks under and follows up with a left that Navi also avoids with ease. Chapman slips a jab and a cross from Navi.
Chapman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chapman scores with a takedown into Navi's guard. Chapman controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Navi is working an open guard so Chapman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Chapman throws a combination. Navi tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Navi throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Navi gets tackled into the cage by Chapman. Chapman maintains the clinch. Chapman manages to break the clinch.
Chapman closes the distance and clinches. Chapman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Chapman rushes Navi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chapman decides to pull guard. Chapman lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Chapman stands and steps away. Navi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Chapman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Navi tries to keep at a distance but Chapman has taken the fight into the clinch. Chapman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Navi up against the cage. Chapman is defending well against a takedown attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chapman breaks the clinch.
Navi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Chapman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felipe Chapman dominated that round. That's time! Chapman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Chapman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Chapman stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Chapman forces Navi back against the cage and clinches. Chapman pulls guard. Felipe Chapman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Chapman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chapman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Chapman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Navi is defending against the submission attempts here by Chapman.
Navi is breathing heavily. Chapman working over Navi with some ground and pound. Navi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Chapman decides to stand and escape the position. Felipe Chapman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chapman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chapman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Chapman pushes Navi up against the cage in a clinch. Chapman drags the fight down to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chapman pushes Navi off and scrambles back to his feet.
Chapman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Navi can do to turn this around? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chapman instigates a clinch. Chapman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chapman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Navi's waist but Navi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chapman off to one side. Despite the aggression on Navi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Chapman gets in close and instigates a clinch. Chapman successfully pulls guard.
Chapman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Navi's guard.
Chapman stands up from guard. Let's bang! Chapman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Navi, pushing him back against the cage. Navi tries for a takedown. No joy.
Chapman jumps guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chapman is on top in guard.
Chapman looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Chapman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Chapman has Navi up against the cage in a clinch.
Chapman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chapman manages to end up in side control. Chapman taking a breather here. Chapman stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Navi slaps away a takedown attempt from Chapman, before circling back to the center of the mat. Navi misses with a wild combination.
Chapman misses with a low kick. Navi misses with a double jab.
Navi throws an off balance right hand
and Chapman counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chapman. Felipe Chapman has scored more points in the clinch so far. Chapman pulls guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chapman pushes a forearm under Navi's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Navi is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
