The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith moves to clinch but Edgar breaks away
and Edgar counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Edgar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Edgar is looking to counter punch.
Edgar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smith is rocked!
A jab lands there for Edgar.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Edgar finish him?
Edgar is stalking Smith. Smith circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Edgar, and it's lights out! Smith really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Spanky Edgar!
A relieved looking Spanky Edgar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
