Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magus Arbenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lara comes to the cage accompanied by 'I Stand Alone' by Godsmack. Magus Arbenson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arbenson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lara.
Alexander Lara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lara throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lara pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lara tries to clinch up.
Arbenson moves in looking to clinch but Lara pushes him off.
Good work by Lara as he checks the leg kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Lara has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Arbenson regains guard immediately.
Lara has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Arbenson wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arbenson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lara is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Arbenson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lara's back instead.
Can Lara hold on?! Arbenson is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Arbenson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Lara! Can he survive? No! He's out! Arbenson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
