Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Franchise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Franchise's choice of entrance music: Microphone Fiend- Rage Against the Machine. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stevie Franchise!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franchise misses with a low kick.
Pound displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Franchise throws out the jab.
A little feinted left hand from Pound on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Franchise misses with the combination.
Pound catches Franchise with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Franchise takes one to the chin there.
Donk. Franchise catches Pound right on the button with a cross.
Franchise tries a head kick but it misses.
Pound was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Franchise thuds his right hand into Pound's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A chopping leg kick lands by Pound.
Pound definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Franchise thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pound slips a straight right by Franchise.
Pound waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Franchise.
Franchise misses with a wild combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Franchise tries to land a front kick but Pound steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Pound throws the left hand but Franchise avoids the punch easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pound uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Franchise.
Franchise throws a body punch but Pound moves out of range.
Pound pivots, looking for a leg kick but Franchise is out of range and Pound settles back down.
Franchise on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pound thuds a left hand into Franchise's body.
Franchise throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Franchise takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pound moves away from the strike by Franchise.
Pound was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Franchise throws an overhand right that lands on Pound's shoulder, as Pound tries to avoid the shot.
Pound throwing a counter right hand but Franchise manages to avoid it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Pound.
Franchise throws a right and a left that Pound avoids nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Franchise. Those never looked like landing.
Franchise takes a swing at Pound's ribcage but misses.

Pound swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Franchise shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Franchise is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Franchise drops his hands momentarily. Pound doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Franchise staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Franchise doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dick Pound!
