Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michinori Aoki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. It looked like Aoki wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Lesnar misses with a takedown and Aoki counters with an outside leg kick.
Lesnar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Aoki counters with a head kick that drops Lesnar to the mat! Lesnar scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Michinori Aoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar. An inside leg kick lands from Aoki. Aoki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've been told by Aoki's head coaches at Hellfire Antechamber that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Lesnar fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lesnar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aoki is looking to regain half guard here but Lesnar keeps moving and retains side control. Lesnar in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Lesnar scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Aoki to see if he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aoki keeps working. A bit of a lull in the action here. Aoki is trying to get back to half guard. Aoki on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aoki tries to get out of the position. Lesnar landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Lesnar is putting a hurting on Aoki here, landing some big shots from side control. Aoki tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Lesnar presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lesnar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is in the full mount, landing strikes. Lesnar putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Lesnar wants to control the pace but Aoki is squirming around nicely. Aoki is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar landing strikes from the mount. Lesnar controlling his opponent. Lesnar lands a big elbow. Aoki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lesnar on the ground. Lesnar with good strikes from the mount here! Lesnar looking to finish Aoki with some ground and pound. This is bad for Aoki! Lesnar has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Aoki's face.
Lesnar putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Lesnar wants to control the pace but Aoki is squirming around nicely. Aoki tries to hold on but Lesnar postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aoki can't escape the position.
Lesnar with a couple of short strikes. Lesnar trying to control but Aoki is having none of it. Aoki tries to lock up and control but Lesnar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Aoki really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Lesnar tries to control but Aoki wriggling away. Lesnar working Aoki over with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesnar dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A slapping leg kick lands for Aoki.
Aoki closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Aoki lands a shoulder strike. Aoki drops Lesnar with a big knee straight up the middle! Lesnar is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut. Lesnar misses with a takedown attempt and Aoki makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lesnar really felt that one! Aoki throws a nice outside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lesnar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Aoki swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Aoki.
An inside leg kick lands from Aoki. Lesnar with a lazy takedown attempt and Aoki counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lesnar's knee momentarily. Michinori Aoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is breathing heavily. A nice inside leg kick there by Aoki. That's going to slow Lesnar down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Lesnar's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A nice leg kick lands there from Aoki. Lesnar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Aoki counters with a flying knee that drops Lesnar! Aoki dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michinori Aoki!
