Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Burke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Terringtin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nathan Burke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chad Terringtin! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Terringtin gets caught napping as Burke dives in and scores a takedown. Terringtin manages to retain guard. Terringtin wants to sweep here but Burke controlling him for the moment. Terringtin working for a triangle but Burke defends it easily.
Terringtin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Burke manages to get himself to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Terringtin wants to control from the top but Burke keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burke pulls Terringtin in close to his closed guard and prevents Terringtin from doing any damage or advancing position. Burke is trying to control the position but Terringtin postures up. Terringtin trying to control but Burke is working from the bottom. Terringtin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Terringtin trying to control the position from guard on top but Burke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burke tries to land a sweep but no joy. Burke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Terringtin on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Burke wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Burke continues to stall.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Terringtin gets a clinch. Burke really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Burke content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Terringtin has clasped his hands together around Burke's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. You can see the frustration on Burke's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burke is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Terringtin's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Terringtin is trying to control the action in half guard but Burke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Burke wants to get back to full guard but Terringtin has mounted him! Burke wants to control but Terringtin is having none of it. Burke is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Terringtin lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Burke hang on? Burke is looking to improve his position but Terringtin isn't that keen on the idea. Poor strikes thrown by Terringtin there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Terringtin wants to control the pace but Burke is squirming around nicely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Burke is trying to escape the mount.

Chad Terringtin dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Burke blocks a head kick by Terringtin.
Nathan Burke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Terringtin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Chad Terringtin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Terringtin. No joy for Burke on that attempt. Burke blocks a leg kick. Terringtin throws a leg kick and Burke counters by moving into the clinch. Burke leaning his opponent against the cage. Terringtin gets through Burke's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for Burke to work.
Terringtin is looking to break free of the clinch but Burke has double underhooks. Burke lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Terringtin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Burke blocks it with crossed arms.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terringtin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Burke is pushing Terringtin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Terringtin pulls guard successfully.
Burke with a nice head shot there. Terringtin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Terringtin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burke is aware though and is defending well. Burke stopping the sweep attempt from Terringtin. Burke might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Burke postures up.
Burke wants to control from the top but Terringtin keeps moving. Terringtin is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burke lands a couple of decent looking shots. Terringtin has momentary wrist control but Burke slips an elbow through the middle. Terringtin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Burke trying to control the position from guard on top but Terringtin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Burke looks for a takedown but Terringtin sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terringtin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Burke fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Terringtin sprawls well initially but Burke persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Burke is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Burke scoring with strikes to the body and head. Burke is trying to control the action in half guard but Terringtin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Burke wants to free his trapped foot but Terringtin is holding on for dear life with his legs. Burke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Terringtin keeps working. Terringtin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Terringtin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Terringtin is looking to improve his position.
Burke working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Burke is keen to just control but Terringtin is a slippery customer. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Chad Terringtin will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Burke doesn't succeed with the takedown and Terringtin counters with a straight right hand. Terringtin throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Terringtin. Burke does a little dance to reset his feet. Burke wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Burke misses with a takedown attempt - Terringtin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Burke closes the distance and clinches up with Terringtin, looking for a takedown. Burke pushes Terringtin against the cage but Terringtin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Burke. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Terringtin looks to land a combination but Burke avoids it well. Terringtin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Burke. Burke circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Terringtin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Burke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As Terringtin looks to move away, Burke throws a big counter combo but Terringtin just gets out of the way. Terringtin is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terringtin looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Terringtin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Burke wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Terringtin manages to pass to side control. Burke looks like he's trying to stand up.
Burke is trying to control but Terringtin passes into side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Burke prevents Terringtin from improving position. Terringtin trying to control the position but Burke is working away. Sloppy strikes there by Terringtin. Burke is trying to control Terringtin's posture but Terringtin avoids it. Burke is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terringtin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Terringtin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Chad Terringtin has got the better of the ground game so far. Terringtin throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Terringtin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Burke manages to get back to half guard. Burke wants to get back to full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Terringtin throws a right and a left that Burke avoids nicely. Burke shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Terringtin as he avoids it easily. Burke shoots in and drives through. Terringtin sprawls well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Terringtin feints and then cracks Burke's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Burke down. Excellent takedown into side control there by Burke. Nathan Burke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Terringtin is trying to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Chad Terringtin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Terringtin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
