Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Vontavious Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vontavious Payne's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hope. Sonnen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Scream Aim Fire kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

It looked like Vontavious Payne was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sonnen.

and Vontavious Payne counters with a good low kick that Sonnen was not able to check.
Sonnen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vontavious Payne moves away.
We've been told by Vontavious Payne's head coaches at aLion's MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That kick from Vontavious Payne tenderised Sonnen's leg. Sonnen is trying to keep his angry face on.

Vontavious Payne cracks Sonnen with an uppercut from hell and Sonnen crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Vontavious Payne's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Sonnen is rocked!
It looks like Leo Sonnen has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vontavious Payne arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Sonnen's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

A relieved looking Maurice Vontavious Payne thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Leo Sonnen stepped up to the mic, saying 'Dislocated my shoulder at the start, i'll be back and better than ever! '.
