Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laat Dovah-Kinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bone comes to the cage accompanied by You'll Never Walk Alone. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Laat Dovah-Kinn!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone missing with a left hand there. Dovah-Kinn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

No joy there for Bone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bone takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Joe Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bone looks to land a left hand but Dovah-Kinn moved out of range nicely.
As Bone backs off Dovah-Kinn throws a huge counter combo but Bone manages to avoid it all.
Dovah-Kinn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bone.

Dovah-Kinn feints and then cracks Bone's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bone down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bone bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dovah-Kinn's head backwards.
Bone misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dovah-Kinn looks to throw the jab but Bone is out of range.

Bone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dovah-Kinn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bone.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bone is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Bone will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bone feints a jab promting Dovah-Kinn to slip. Bone then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dovah-Kinn slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

I was talking to Bone's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Dovah-Kinn pushes Bone back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dovah-Kinn tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dovah-Kinn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bone is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bone wants to hold on but Dovah-Kinn pushes him away.

Bone keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Dovah-Kinn is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bone to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bone shrugs it off.

Well Dovah-Kinn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
