Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Ridsdale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oglek Tomar! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Ridsdale. A punch combination from Ridsdale misses. Ridsdale throws a head kick that misses. Ridsdale takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ridsdale fails in his attempt to clinch. Ridsdale looks to clinch and Tomar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Tomar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tomar misses with a straight left. Tomar dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tomar takes the fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tomar breaks from the clinch.
A big right from Tomar misses. Ridsdale tries to clinch but fails miserably and Tomar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ridsdale tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ridsdale takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ridsdale falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tomar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Tomar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ridsdale. Ridsdale throws a nice looking combination but Tomar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ridsdale throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tomar lands a slapping body shot.
Oglek Tomar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tomar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tomar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tomar swats away the attempt to clinch by Ridsdale. Ridsdale wants to clinch. Ridsdale keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tomar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tomar thows a left - swing and a miss! Ridsdale tries to clinch but Tomar moves out of range. Tomar appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Tomar throws a hook but Ridsdale blocks it. Ridsdale is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Ridsdale tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ridsdale moves to clinch but Tomar breaks away and Tomar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ridsdale tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Tomar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tomar closes the distance and pushes Ridsdale back into the ropes. A right handed body shot lands from Tomar.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tomar digs a right hand into Ridsdale's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ridsdale's gas tank. Tomar stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Ridsdale is breathing heavily. Tomar lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ridsdale backwards. Tomar lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Tomar lands with a short shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oglek Tomar dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tomar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ridsdale manages to avoid it. Tomar throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ridsdale seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Bobby Ridsdale is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tomar avoids the head kick by Ridsdale.
Tomar lands a body shot.
Tomar misses with a two punch combination.
Tomar dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tomar takes the fight into the clinch. Tomar has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A left hand lands to the body for Tomar.
Tomar digs a right hand underneath Ridsdale's ribcage. Ridsdale let out a lung full of air as it connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A quick uppercut on the inside from Tomar. Tomar lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ridsdale backwards. Tomar lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ridsdale backwards. Tomar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head kick misses from Ridsdale.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tomar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Ridsdale with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Ridsdale has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Tomar lands with a left to the head. Ridsdale misses with some punches.
Tomar lands with a short head shot on the inside. Tomar misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Tomar lands a nice uppercut. Ridsdale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ridsdale takes a shot to the head. Nice body punch from Tomar. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tomar lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ridsdale backwards.
Ridsdale is rocked! Ridsdale wants to break the clinch but can't.
Oh Ridsdale is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tomar lands a nice shot to the body. Ridsdale seems to have got his legs back now. Tomar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ridsdale closes the distance looking to clinch and Tomar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ridsdale is looking to clinch. Tomar throws a series of strikes that have Ridsdale backpedaling.
Ridsdale closes the distance looking to clinch and as Ridsdale tries to reset, Tomar cracks him with a perfect counter right hand that drops him to the mat! Ridsdale is trying to get up but he's doing the chicken dance and face plants back to the floor - that's enough for the referee and he's called the bout! This one is all over!
