Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harvey Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nasxo Gulakaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nasxo Gulakaev! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Compton scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Compton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Gulakaev is defending against the submission attempts here by Compton.
Compton trying to control the pace. Compton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gulakaev is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Compton pulls his head out easily. Compton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Compton thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gulakaev is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Compton pulls his head out easily. Gulakaev looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gulakaev looking for submissions off his back. Gulakaev on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Compton scoring with strikes to the body and head. Compton wants to get back to his feet.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Compton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gulakaev doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Compton. Compton is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gulakaev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Compton scores with a couple of nice shots. The fighters are battling for position here. Gulakaev manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Compton working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gulakaev's head. Compton wants to stand but Gulakaev is controlling his posture from full guard. Compton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gulakaev on the ground. Gulakaev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Compton is aware though and is defending well.

Compton distracts Gulakaev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Compton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Compton wants to stand but Gulakaev has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Compton has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gulakaev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Compton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gulakaev looks winded! Compton engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gulakaev is working an open guard so Compton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Compton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gulakaev is fending him off so far but Compton persists. Nope, Gulakaev circles away and we're back to standing. The fight stays on the outside here - Compton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Compton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gulakaev sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Compton somewhat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gulakaev looking for submissions from an awkward position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Compton controlling the pace.

Compton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Harvey Compton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Compton takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Compton wants to get back to his feet.
Compton perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gulakaev looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gulakaev is breathing heavily. Compton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gulakaev actively working from the bottom here. Compton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gulakaev can do to turn this around? Compton tries to stand and escape but Gulakaev is controlling the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Compton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gulakaev on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Compton keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Compton decides to stand and escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Compton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gulakaev sprawls well. Gulakaev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Compton gets slowly back to his feet. Gulakaev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Compton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gulakaev is in Compton's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gulakaev stopping the sweep attempt from Compton. Gulakaev trying to control the position from guard on top but Compton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Compton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Compton taking a breather. Compton pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gulakaev tumbling to the mat - Compton dives into Gulakaev's guard. Compton postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
