And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dust has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Beckett feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Beckett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dust has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beckett has managed to get both his arms back between Dust's legs - danger averted.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dust has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Beckett is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dust.
