Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shin Dong Hyuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jong Un Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shin Dong Hyuk could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jong Un Kim's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shin Dong Hyuk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jong Un Kim! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dong Hyuk throws a shot from downtown. Kim moves away and avoids it. Kim tries a quick counter leg kick but Dong Hyuk is wise to it. Dong Hyuk lands a right hook to the body.
A big right from Kim misses. Dong Hyuk feinted with a counter takedown. Kim looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Dong Hyuk listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Dong Hyuk avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A big left from Kim misses. Kim pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kim missing with a left hand there. Dong Hyuk was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Sloppy strikes from Dong Hyuk. Those never looked like landing. Kim takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Kim throws a jab but it's blocked by Dong Hyuk. Kim loads up on a big right hand but Dong Hyuk slips the punch. Dong Hyuk looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kim has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Dong Hyuk is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kim's half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Dong Hyuk wants to work for an arm triangle but Kim is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kim is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dong Hyuk pulls his head out easily. Dong Hyuk trying to control the action but Kim is working from the bottom. Kim is pressing down on Dong Hyuk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kim throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kim keeping full guard, as Dong Hyuk tries to pass. Kim is looking for a triangle here but Dong Hyuk uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Dong Hyuk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kim is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kim tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dong Hyuk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dong Hyuk goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kim rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dong Hyuk's guard! Nice work there by Kim! Dong Hyuk is trying to control the position but Kim postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim trying to control but Dong Hyuk is working from the bottom. Kim wants to pass the guard but Dong Hyuk is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dong Hyuk keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. Dong Hyuk pulls Kim in to control the position. Dong Hyuk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kim is one step ahead there. Dong Hyuk keeping full guard, as Kim tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kim wants to control from the top but Dong Hyuk keeps moving. Dong Hyuk controlling Kim's posture. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Dong Hyuk lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dong Hyuk trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kim is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shin Dong Hyuk dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Dong Hyuk throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kim. Kim misses with an uppercut
and Dong Hyuk counters with a single leg into guard. Kim didn't expect that. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kim is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but Dong Hyuk is retaining full guard. Dong Hyuk looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dong Hyuk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kim is one step ahead there. Kim throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim preventing the sweep. Kim tries to stand but Dong Hyuk is controlling from the bottom. Kim slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim moves into full mount! Kim takes Dong Hyuk's back. Kim is looking to control Dong Hyuk but Dong Hyuk is wriggling around and keeping busy. Dong Hyuk tries to escape but Kim has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Kim doesn't have the hooks in and Dong Hyuk manages to turn into his guard.
Dong Hyuk trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kim pulls Dong Hyuk in close to his closed guard and prevents Dong Hyuk from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dong Hyuk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kim trying to control the position.
Kim pulls Dong Hyuk in to control the position. Dong Hyuk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kim looking to control but Dong Hyuk passes into half guard.
Kim moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim is trying to control the position but Dong Hyuk postures up. Dong Hyuk engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Dong Hyuk pushes down on Kim's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kim is looking to improve his position.
Dong Hyuk trying to control from half guard but Kim is working away. Kim is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dong Hyuk's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dong Hyuk's back! Dong Hyuk tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Kim is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

I really don't envy Dong Hyuk right now.

A close second round but Jong Un Kim will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Dong Hyuk just misses with a punch to the body.
Kim scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kim throws a big shot that misses. Kim throws a jab but it's blocked by Dong Hyuk. Kim feints and then cracks Dong Hyuk's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dong Hyuk down. Dong Hyuk throws a poor cross that misses
and Kim counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kim scores with a sloppy right hand. Dong Hyuk should have avoided that one. Dong Hyuk looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Dong Hyuk cracks Kim with a right hand to the side of the head. Dong Hyuk punishes Kim's body with a nice straight punch. Kim throws a shot from downtown. Dong Hyuk moves away and avoids it. Good leg kick by Dong Hyuk there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kim sizes up Dong Hyuk with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Kim throws an overhand right that lands on Dong Hyuk's shoulder, as Dong Hyuk tries to avoid the shot. Dong Hyuk swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Jong Un Kim seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kim lands a leg kick that knocks Dong Hyuk off balance momentarily. Kim checks the leg kick. Kim walks into a stiff left hand from Dong Hyuk.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong Hyuk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kim throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dong Hyuk. Kim uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dong Hyuk. Dong Hyuk lands a glancing blow to the side of Kim's head. Kim swats away the attempt to clinch by Dong Hyuk. Kim digs a good hook to Dong Hyuk's body.
Kim lands with a cross. Decent striking displayed by Dong Hyuk there. Kim lands an overhand right. Dong Hyuk pushes Kim up against the cage in a clinch. Dong Hyuk jumps guard but Kim stands there with Dong Hyuk around his waist. Dong Hyuk gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kim tries to land knees in the clinch but Dong Hyuk avoids the damage to the body. Dong Hyuk trying to control the position but instead, Kim has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dong Hyuk into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim lands a body punch in the clinch. Dong Hyuk blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kim lands a body punch in the clinch. I was talking to Dong Hyuk's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Kim misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kim works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Kim working some nice short punches in the clinch. Still in the clinch, Dong Hyuk scores with a nice short uppercut. A head punch on the inside from Kim fails to land. Kim misses with the head strike.
Dong Hyuk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong Hyuk lands with a right hand. Kim thows a leg kick but Dong Hyuk checks it and Dong Hyuk counters with an outside leg kick.
Kim throws the left hand but Dong Hyuk avoids the punch easily. Jong Un Kim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kim bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dong Hyuk's head backwards. Kim scores with a jab to the jaw. A lazy left from Dong Hyuk finds it's target. Kim lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kim thows a left - swing and a miss! Dong Hyuk appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Kim throws a push kick but Dong Hyuk slaps the foot to one side. Dong Hyuk jabs Kim to the body, keeping him at a distance. Dong Hyuk misses with a body kick. Kim misses with a low kick. A head kick from Dong Hyuk lands but Kim takes it in his stride. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kim throws a leg kick but Dong Hyuk sees it coming and checks it nicely. Kim bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Dong Hyuk is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim takes one to the side of the head.
Dong Hyuk throws a body shot but no joy. Dong Hyuk throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kim sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dong Hyuk tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kim ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kim swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kim throws a front kick aimed at Dong Hyuk's knee but Dong Hyuk avoids it well. Kim misses with a lunging right hand
and Dong Hyuk counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kim tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dong Hyuk was well out of range. Poor timing from Kim. Dong Hyuk tried to score with a low kick but Kim checks it. Dong Hyuk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kim takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Kim connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Dong Hyuk takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dong Hyuk tries a low kick but Kim avoids it. Kim works Dong Hyuk's body with a nice hook. Kim has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dong Hyuk finds it's way round the side to connect with Kim's head.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jong Un Kim. I think Kim has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
