Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Odonnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Ostrovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ostrovsky comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Russian Roulette kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Alexander Ostrovsky has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tom Odonnell's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tom Odonnell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Ostrovsky! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Odonnell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ostrovsky to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ostrovsky wants to stand but Odonnell is controlling his posture from full guard. Ostrovsky is looking to work some ground and pound but Odonnell has wrist control. Odonnell really is a fat lump. Ostrovsky sitting in guard here, content to control. It looks like Ostrovsky might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Odonnell has momentary wrist control but Ostrovsky slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ostrovsky is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Odonnell has his foot on Ostrovsky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ostrovsky works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Odonnell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Odonnell has a closed guard, preventing Ostrovsky from standing up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ostrovsky looking to pass the guard. Ostrovsky looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Odonnell tries to keep at a distance but Ostrovsky has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ostrovsky has picked Odonnell up - he's going for a ride! Ostrovsky dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Odonnell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ostrovsky is working away from the top position though. Ostrovsky wants to pass the guard but Odonnell is defending well. Ostrovsky seems to be looking for submissions.
Well, if Ostrovsky is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ostrovsky wants to pass the guard but Odonnell is defending well. Ostrovsky is working for a submission of some sort.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Odonnell wants to get back to full guard. Ostrovsky tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ostrovsky throws a hook to the side of Odonnell's head but Odonnell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ostrovsky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Odonnell pushes Ostrovsky off and gets back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Odonnell moves out of range as Ostrovsky throws a body kick.

Alexander Ostrovsky dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ostrovsky gets the takedown into side control. Ostrovsky looking to control but instead Odonnell has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Ostrovsky working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Odonnell's thigh. Odonnell counters though and makes it back to full guard. Ostrovsky looking to sit in guard and control but Odonnell gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's one minute gone in the round. Odonnell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Odonnell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ostrovsky has his foot on Odonnell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Odonnell works his way back into a safe position though. Odonnell wants to get up but he can't break Ostrovsky's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ostrovsky keeping moving, preventing Odonnell from controlling successfully. Ostrovsky is looking to stand up but Odonnell isn't so interested in that idea. Odonnell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ostrovsky is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Odonnell throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Odonnell trying to control but Ostrovsky is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ostrovsky is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Odonnell defends well. Odonnell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Ostrovsky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Odonnell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Odonnell landing some decent shots from guard. Ostrovsky has a closed guard, preventing Odonnell from standing up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Odonnell or perhaps it was just good defense by Ostrovsky, which made it look bad. Ostrovsky shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Odonnell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ostrovsky is breathing heavily. Odonnell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ostrovsky sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ostrovsky wants to control from the top but Odonnell keeps moving. Ostrovsky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Odonnell is on top in guard.
Alexander Ostrovsky has got the better of the ground game so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Odonnell is fighting to break Ostrovsky's control of his arms but Ostrovsky is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ostrovsky wants to control from the top but Odonnell keeps moving. Ostrovsky working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ostrovsky is looking to advance position but Odonnell has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Odonnell avoids the attempt from Ostrovsky to control. Ostrovsky can't escape the position.
Odonnell is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ostrovsky has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ostrovsky! Odonnell looking for subs off his back but Ostrovsky has passed one foot through into half guard.
Odonnell is refusing to be controlled, as Ostrovsky sits in half guard.

Odonnell is looking to reverse the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ostrovsky takes a little break here. Odonnell wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Ostrovsky cracks Odonnell with a big right hand but Odonnell just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Ostrovsky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Ostrovsky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
