Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sisu Okunaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wooden Pencil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pencil is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Full Retard. Wooden Pencil is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

29 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wooden Pencil!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pencil gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Okunaba.
Okunaba takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Okunaba takes the fight into the clinch.
Pencil lands a right hand.
Okunaba misses with some punches.
Pencil is trying to break the clinch but Okunaba has him pressed against the cage.
Pencil blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pencil lands a hook that snaps the head of Okunaba backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pencil breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pencil with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Okunaba slips under a jab from Pencil.
Okunaba fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And Pencil tries to counter it with a takedown but Okunaba pushes his down on his head and steps out.

A combination from Pencil does no damage.
Okunaba connects with a looping right hand.
Wooden Pencil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Okunaba misses with a wild combination.
Okunaba finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Pencil unleashes a big counter combination but Okunaba bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Pencil on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Okunaba drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pencil can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Okunaba controls the pace.

Okunaba has gone for a leg lock! Pencil slips out almost immediately though and dives into Okunaba's guard.

Okunaba working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Pencil has passed into half guard!

Okunaba is concentrating on defense, preventing Pencil from advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pencil stands up out of the half guard.
Pencil feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Okunaba's calf.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Okunaba buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Okunaba is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
An inside leg kick from Okunaba misses.
Pencil drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Okunaba defends it well.
Okunaba misses with a straight right.
Pencil tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sisu Okunaba will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Okunaba ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Okunaba turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Okunaba attempts a counter takedown but Pencil avoids it well and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Okunaba looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pencil chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Okunaba can pounce on him.

Pencil breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Okunaba looks to land a body kick but Pencil moved away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Okunaba is defended easily by Pencil.
Okunaba shoots in for a double leg but Pencil sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Pencil is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Sisu Okunaba is winning the standup battle so far.
Okunaba on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pencil. Pencil obviously looking to wear him down.

Pencil gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Okunaba misses with a low kick as Pencil jumps back.

Okunaba shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pencil defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sisu Okunaba. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Okunaba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sisu Okunaba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Okunaba cracks the inside of Pencil's front leg.
Okunaba throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pencil counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Okunaba delivers a nice body kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Pencil. That snapped Okunaba's head back.
Pencil is looking to slow Okunaba down with leg kicks.
Okunaba lands with a thumping leg kick.

Okunaba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pencil manages to avoid it.

Okunaba lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pencil will feel that in the morning.
Okunaba looks to land a body kick but Pencil moved away.
Pencil attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Okunaba tries to counter with a takedown but Pencil is quick to defend against it.

Okunaba dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pencil. That did some damage!

I would just about give that final round to Wooden Pencil.
Well Pencil has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
