Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Koulouraki Souvlaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sambulo Yeboah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souvlaki comes to the ring accompanied by Greek Anthem. The crowd seem to be enjoying Yeboah's choice of entrance music: Lionel Richie - All Night Long. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Koulouraki Souvlaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sambulo Yeboah!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yeboah gets caught flat footed, as Souvlaki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Yeboah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Souvlaki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Souvlaki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yeboah has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Souvlaki has managed to get both his arms back between Yeboah's legs - danger averted.
We've been hearing that Souvlaki has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Souvlaki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Yeboah looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Souvlaki passes into side control.
Souvlaki is looking to take a break and control but Yeboah is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yeboah is looking to reverse the position.
Souvlaki is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Yeboah will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Yeboah manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Souvlaki works his way to full guard. Good work.
Souvlaki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yeboah is one step ahead there.
Yeboah is looking to stand up but Souvlaki won't let him.
Souvlaki is adopting a defensive guard.

Yeboah drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Souvlaki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Yeboah has Souvlaki in his guard.

Yeboah can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Souvlaki controls the pace.
Souvlaki with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Souvlaki is in close to Yeboah's body, working some short punches and elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Souvlaki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Souvlaki passes Yeboah's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Yeboah is refusing to be controlled, as Souvlaki sits in half guard.
Souvlaki trying to pass the guard but Yeboah defending well.
Yeboah moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Souvlaki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Souvlaki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Yeboah is looking for a triangle but Souvlaki pushes his legs off easily.

Yeboah looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Yeboah has his foot on Souvlaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Souvlaki works his way back into a safe position though.

Yeboah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Souvlaki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Souvlaki's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Souvlaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Yeboah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Yeboah is looking for a triangle but Souvlaki pushes his legs off easily.
Souvlaki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Souvlaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Yeboah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Yeboah is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Souvlaki rolls with it to try and escape but Yeboah cranks on the arm and Souvlaki is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sambulo Yeboah!
After winning the bout, Sambulo Yeboah thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
