Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira throws a head kick that misses.

Pereira changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bonner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bonner is trying to control Pereira's posture but Pereira avoids it.
Pereira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bonner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bonner enables Pereira to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bonner manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Art Bonner will probably get the nod.

Bonner not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Lucas Pereira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bonner has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pereira uses from the top position.

Pereira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bonner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bonner tries to pull guard but Pereira holds him up against the cage and eventually Bonner drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Art Bonner. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pereira manages to break the clinch.

Pereira closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Pereira throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bonner works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pereira throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pereira tries to clinch but Bonner moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lucas Pereira comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pereira has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
