Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lavern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Mudrila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Mudrila will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ricardo Mudrila! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mudrila closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. did well to prevent Mudrila getting side control. is trying to escape back to his feet but Mudrila uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. wants to control but Mudrila postures up. Mudrila working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! reaches up to try and control the position but Mudrila seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! rolls and tries to escape and now Mudrila has his back!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mudrila fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging to the ground. Mudrila is now in 's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mudrila trying to control the position from guard on top but is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mudrila lands strikes from half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mudrila connects with a nice short shot to 's temple. Mudrila trying to mount his opponent but defends it. Mudrila has been the more effective fighter overall so far. tries to get to full guard but Mudrila has control of the leg. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! is trying is best to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Mudrila showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
