Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lee Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernandez has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Fernandez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Kennedy! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy thows a left - swing and a miss! Fernandez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Fernandez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kennedy sprawls and moves away. Kennedy darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kennedy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kennedy misses with a body shot.
Fernandez is breathing heavily. Kennedy misses with a head kick.
Kennedy lands a head shot. Fernandez walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kennedy. Kennedy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kennedy throws a body shot but no joy. Fernandez tries to counter with a takedown but Kennedy is quick to defend against it. Kennedy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kennedy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kennedy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fernandez's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fernandez takes one to the chin there. Kennedy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fernandez attempts a counter takedown but Kennedy avoids it well and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy throws a nice head kick!
Kennedy has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Kennedy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fernandez on the side of the head. Kennedy throws a sloppy head kick and Fernandez moves out of range easily. Fernandez changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kennedy scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fernandez takes a kick to the side of the head. Fernandez ducks under a wild hook from Kennedy. Fernandez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Fernandez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kennedy to score with a decent uppercut. Daniel Kennedy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fernandez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Kennedy throws the left hand but Fernandez avoids the punch easily. Fernandez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Fernandez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kennedy is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. This has been an exciting period of action! Kennedy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kennedy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fernandez appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Kennedy connects with a crisp jab. Daniel Kennedy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kennedy throws a head kick that half lands.
Fernandez walks into a jab. Fernandez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fernandez there as he acknowledges the shot. Kennedy throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Kennedy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fernandez counters with a shoot takedown. Kennedy fights it but they end up in guard. Kennedy wants to sweep here but Fernandez controlling him for the moment. Fernandez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fernandez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fernandez tries to free his leg and advance position but Kennedy is retaining full guard. Kennedy trying to control the position.
Kennedy can't keep his opponent in guard - Fernandez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've been hearing that Fernandez has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Kennedy looking for submissions off his back. Fernandez moves nicely into side control. Fernandez in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kennedy is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
