Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kerr has chosen Them Bones as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark Kerr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Gonzalez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Kerr! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez darts in and clinches Kerr up against the cage. Gonzalez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gonzalez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kerr swats him away and circles back towards the center. No luck for Gonzalez with that takedown attempt. Kerr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gonzalez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kerr landing a few strikes. Gonzalez is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Gonzalez wants to control but Kerr postures up. Gonzalez seems a little lost for a moment, as Kerr dominates the positioning. Kerr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kerr working the ground and pound from side control. Kerr is looking to take a break and control but Gonzalez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gonzalez is trying to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gonzalez is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Kerr has Gonzalez flattened out and is raining down punches. Kerr trying to control. Kerr keeps control of the position as Gonzalez tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Kerr looking for the choke but no joy. Gonzalez is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kerr has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gonzalez has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Kerr scoring with strikes but Gonzalez is staying in there. Gonzalez flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Gonzalez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Kerr keeping moving, preventing Gonzalez from controlling successfully. Kerr is trying to control the position but Gonzalez postures up.

Kerr throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Gonzalez trying to control the position from guard on top but Kerr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kerr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gonzalez's guard. Gonzalez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gonzalez looking to secure an arm triangle but Kerr defends it well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gonzalez jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kerr is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kerr and Gonzalez has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Kerr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kerr showed some decent athleticism there. Gonzalez desperately trying to maintain half guard. Gonzalez wants to control but Kerr is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gonzalez is controlling Kerr's position as best he can from this difficult position. Kerr working over Gonzalez with some ground and pound. Gonzalez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Kerr passes to full mount!

Kerr lands a nice shot to the head. Gonzalez gets back to half guard. Kerr scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Gonzalez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Kerr decides to return to a standing position. Gonzalez drives through with a takedown into guard. Gonzalez wants to control from the top but Kerr keeps moving. Gonzalez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kerr is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Kerr working for a triangle but Gonzalez defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kerr is not content to let Gonzalez control the position. Gonzalez tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Kerr manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Kerr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Gonzalez wants to stand but Kerr is controlling the position. Kerr wants to control from the top but Gonzalez keeps moving. Kerr decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gonzalez, up you get! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gonzalez fails with the takedown and Kerr counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gonzalez!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr unloading with bombs! Kerr is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gonzalez can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Kerr has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gonzalez's face.
Gonzalez defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kerr. Gonzalez manages to regain half guard. Good work. Gonzalez is refusing to be controlled, as Kerr sits in half guard. Kerr throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gonzalez closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kerr takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Gonzalez wants to get back to full guard. Kerr is pressing down on Gonzalez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gonzalez is holding on for now. Gonzalez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kerr throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kerr prevents Gonzalez from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kerr not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzalez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kerr.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Gonzalez has his takedown stuffed and Kerr counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gonzalez's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Gonzalez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kerr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gonzalez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mark Kerr is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gonzalez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gonzalez wants to get back to his feet but Kerr is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kerr trying to control but Gonzalez is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Kerr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kerr winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
