Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Napper Coman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Napper Coman!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Waters was covering up waiting for the punch and Coman finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Coman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Coman prevents Waters from getting back to his feet.
Waters will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Coman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Waters is looking for a sweep. Coman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coman wants to work for an arm triangle but Waters is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Coman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Waters doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Coman.

Coman stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Waters to get to his feet.
Coman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Waters defends well and Coman ends up having to push Waters into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Waters looks to score with a jab to the body but Coman is just out of range.

Coman has gone for a leg lock! Waters slips out almost immediately though and dives into Coman's guard.

Waters is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Coman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Coman is trying to control Waters's posture but Waters avoids it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Waters thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Coman pushes Waters away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Waters gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Coman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Napper Coman will probably get the nod.

Coman tries to buck Waters off but Waters is having none of it.

Waters darts in and clinches Coman up against the cage.

Coman throws an elbow that misses. Waters uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Coman's guard. Nice move by Waters!

Coman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Waters is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Waters has escaped and now he's on top!

Coman on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Waters is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Coman has escaped the position, nice work there.
Coman is looking to reverse the position.

Coman is in all sorts of trouble here.
Waters looking to finish Coman with some ground and pound. This is bad for Coman!

Waters wants to finish this one by submission but Coman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Waters.

Mike Waters showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Waters has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
