Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Buchanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Klim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Klim has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ivan Buchanan's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buchanan tries to clinch
and Klim counters with a three punch combo that has Buchanan backing up. Buchanan nods at Klim to acknowledge the strikes.
Klim tries a head kick but it misses.

Buchanan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Klim, pushing him back against the cage.

We've been informed that Klim has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Klim is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Klim is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Buchanan's shoulder. That is not cool.

Klim throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Buchanan on the side of the head.

Buchanan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Klim paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Klim let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Buchanan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Klim's guard.

Klim throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Buchanan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Buchanan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Klim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Buchanan doesn't manage to clinch there - Klim circles away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Klim dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Buchanan shoots in looking for a takedown but Klim manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Buchanan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Klim is looking to take a break and control but Buchanan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Klim is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Buchanan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Buchanan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Klim is working away from the top position though.
Buchanan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Buchanan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
