Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between German Giles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curt Mullend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mullend comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Warrior's Cry kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullend tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Giles fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mullend to the ground. Giles is now in Mullend's guard.

Giles's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mullend tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Giles manages to move to mount!
Giles has control of Mullend's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mullend regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Curt Mullend is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mullend can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to German Giles.
I think Mullend has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Curt Mullend rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
