Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darnell Olson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George The Englander! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Englander sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Olson staying out of range there. Olson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Olson walks into a left hand. Olson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with The Englander, pushing him back against the cage. Olson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. The Englander smiles and moves away.
The Englander tests Olson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Olson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The Englander misses with an uppercut. Olson saw that one coming. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Englander checks a leg kick. Olson takes a jab right on the kisser.
The Englander lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Olson circles away quickly and effectively. Olson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches The Englander napping and manages to drive through into side control! The Englander tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olson scores with punches to the body. Olson lands an elbow to the side of the head. Olson has good solid back control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Englander is taking damage to the body and head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Englander trying to control the position but Olson manages to sink in the hooks. Olson is hanging on to The Englander's back as he tries to escape.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Olson somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Olson just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Olson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Olson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as The Englander throws out the jab. Olson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The Englander connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Olson momentarily.
The Englander might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Olson clinches up against the cage. Olson pulls guard successfully.

The Englander is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Olson striking off his back but it's not causing The Englander any problems. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Olson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The Englander is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Olson with a body shot. The Englander misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Olson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Olson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

The fight stays on the outside here - Olson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The Englander fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Olson manages to avoid it. And that's the end of the fight! George The Englander comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think The Englander has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
