Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Grover Kirby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris James! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James takes a kick to the side of the head. James shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kirby napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kirby is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked James off and has taken his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kirby throwing wild punches that miss their target. James trying to survive by controlling the hands. James rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Kirby really is a fat lump. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kirby pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James is controlling Kirby's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's one minute gone in the round. James keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. James is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kirby's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kirby's back! James is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Kirby up.
Kirby fending off the submission attempt from James. Oooh a big shot gets through from James. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Kirby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground. Kirby preventing the rear naked choke attempt from James. James controlling the position well here. Kirby rolled but James kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Kirby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kirby tries to escape but James has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Kirby won't enjoy being in this position. James looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Kirby is tapping - it's over boys! James picks up the submission victory!
