Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Newton Dorsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santa Claus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Claus has chosen Kurtis Blow Christmas Rap as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorsey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Claus avoids it really well and circles away.
Claus missing with a left hand there. Dorsey was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dorsey tries to counter by clinching up but Claus breaks away and moves out of range.
Dorsey closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Dorsey is pressed up against the cage. Claus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dorsey down to the mat. Dorsey avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Claus closes the distance and clinches up with Dorsey, looking for a takedown. Claus pushes Dorsey against the cage but Dorsey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Claus has managed to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dorsey is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Dorsey throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Claus is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dorsey's half guard.

Claus working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Claus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Claus feints a jab promting Dorsey to slip. Claus then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dorsey slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Newton Dorsey has been cut.

Claus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dorsey swivels and escapes.
Dorsey avoids the head kick by Claus .
Claus looks winded!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Claus is defended easily by Dorsey.
Claus closes the distance and clinches.
Claus goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dorsey prevents it.

Dorsey has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Claus takes an elbow to the temple.
Dorsey is trying to pull guard but Claus has him pressed against the cage.
Dorsey throws a punch but it's blocked by Claus .
Dorsey lands an elbow that stopped Claus in his tracks for a moment.
Dorsey jumps guard and drags Claus to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Claus postures up in Dorsey's guard and throws a big left but Dorsey blocks it.

That was a close round but I would say that Newton Dorsey will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Claus shoots for a takedown but Dorsey saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dorsey lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Claus dives in for a single leg takedown but Dorsey sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Dorsey throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Claus 's head.

Dorsey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Claus 's waist but Claus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dorsey off to one side.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Claus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dorsey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dorsey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Claus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dorsey.

Dorsey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Claus .

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Newton Dorsey.
Well Dorsey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
