The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aaron misses with a looping right.
Santos swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Aaron cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Evair Santos has been cut.
Santos misses with a few strikes there.
Aaron misses with a hook. Santos ducked under it nicely.
Santos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aaron.
Aaron looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Santos throws a shot from downtown. Aaron moves away and avoids it.

and Aaron counters with a nice low kick that buckles Santos's knee momentarily.

Santos is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Aaron rather than just go for the knockout.

Aaron throws a low kick but it's checked well by Santos.

Santos on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Aaron. Aaron obviously looking to wear him down.
Aaron lands a big head kick that sends Santos tumbling to the mat! Aaron takes a step backwards and waves Santos back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Aaron ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Aaron closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Santos out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Hank Aaron is the new heavyweight champion!
Hank Aaron decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
