Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Gee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kirk Hale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nick Gee! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hale gets tackled into the cage by Gee. Gee maintains the clinch. Hale goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gee prevents it.
Hale is working for takedown but Gee is calmly controlling the position for now. Hale changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirk Hale. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hale shoots in for a takedown but Gee shows good takedown defense. Gee blocks a head kick by Hale.
Gee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Gee controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hale is trying to stand back up but Gee is controlling him
Gee is keen to just control but Hale is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gee is pressing down on Hale's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hale is holding on for now. Gee stalling away here and it's allowed Hale to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Gee stops Hale from standing up. Gee stopping the sweep attempt from Hale. Gee wants to control from the top but Hale keeps moving. Gee gets to his feet. Hale looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Gee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hale was covering up waiting for the punch and Gee finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hale wants to stand and escape but Gee is having none of it. Hale escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hale is controlling Gee's posture. Hale is looking to stand up but Gee isn't so interested in that idea. Hale utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hale thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Gee wants to control from the top but Hale keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hale tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gee manages to circle out of the way. Gee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gee misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hale.
Gee is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Hale is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gee is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hale to the mat. Hale regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Gee trying to control the position from guard on top but Hale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hale pulls Gee in to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hale is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gee trying to control the position from guard on top but Hale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hale wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hale wants to get back to his feet but Gee is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hale looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Gee dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hale manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hale has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gee off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Gee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hale was covering up waiting for the punch and Gee finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hale tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hale not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gee stands up from Hale's guard - Gee perhaps looking for a knockout. Hale gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hale scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Hale fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gee, pushing him back against the cage. Hale looking for a takedown. Hale turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gee wants to get back to his feet but Hale is dominant here and he's now got Gee's back! Nick Gee has got the better of the ground game so far. Gee is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is taking a good look at Gee as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Hale!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hale gets his hands free as Gee looks to control. Gee is in bad spot here.
Hale not allowing Gee to control his hands. Gee breaks Hale's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gee wants to control from the top but Hale keeps moving. Gee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hale is keeping the position for now. Gee wants to get up but he can't break Hale's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Hale manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gee manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hale working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hale passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Gee wants to improve his position but Hale is controlling well.
Gee looking for submissions off his back. Gee is breathing heavily. Hale seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kirk Hale dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Gee closes the distance and clinches. Hale prevents Gee from breaking the clinch. Hale pulls Gee into guard.
Hale wants to stand but Gee is controlling the position. Gee wants to stand and escape but instead Hale has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Gee working a defensive guard but Hale manages to pass into side control anyway.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gee looks to move to half guard but instead Hale has passed into mount! Damn!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gee tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hale jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gee is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gee and Hale has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gee wants to get back to his feet but Hale is dominant here and he's now got Gee's back! Hale has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gee's body.
Hale connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Gee to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hale lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Gee tries to escape but Hale has the hooks in and won't let him break free. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Gee tries to roll but Hale sticks to his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gee keeps trying to improve his position. Hale avoiding Gee 's attempts to control his hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hale controlling well, preventing Gee from escaping the position.
Hale patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Gee defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hale's arms. Hale scores with strikes from the back.
Gee tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's four minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Gee really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Gee is in all sorts of trouble here.
Gee sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Gee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gee is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hale pulls his head out easily. Gee is trying to control but Hale passes into side control!

And that's the end of the fight! Kirk Hale showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hale has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
