Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Iron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Tanlagu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanlagu has chosen Where The Hood At as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Iron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 25 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Tanlagu! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Iron drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Iron tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Iron decides to stand back up. Iron steps back and let's Tanlagu get back to his feet. Iron gets a clinch. Iron works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Iron engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Iron seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tanlagu for as long as he can get away with. Iron stands and throws Tanlagu's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iron decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tanlagu to his feet. Tanlagu looks winded! Tanlagu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Iron. Tanlagu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tanlagu wants it to stay on the feet. Iron drives through and clinches with Tanlagu against the cage.
Iron is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tanlagu pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Iron. That's going to take a lot out of him. Iron has Tanlagu pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tanlagu manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A short right hand to the side of the head by Iron. Tanlagu tries for a takedown. No joy.

Iron ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Iron no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Iron wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanlagu wants to stand and escape but instead Iron has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Iron passes Tanlagu's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Iron content to control rather than advance. Iron is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tanlagu has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Iron moves nicely into side control. The referee asks Iron politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Iron prefers to stall for the moment though. Tanlagu tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Iron easily slips into full mount! Tanlagu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Iron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tanlagu holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Iron tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Iron throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Tanlagu blocking the ground and pound. Iron get's back to his feet. Iron fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Iron forces Tanlagu back against the cage and clinches. Iron working some nice short punches in the clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Iron scores with a nice hook to the head. Iron pressing his opponent against the cage. Iron ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Iron no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tanlagu misses with a hook. Iron ducked under it nicely. Iron looks for a takedown but Tanlagu sprawls well. Tanlagu unleashes a big counter combination but Iron bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Iron has Tanlagu up against the cage in a clinch.
Tanlagu is trying to break the clinch but Iron is controlling him. The referee is keeping an eye on Iron - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Tanlagu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Iron shoots in but no luck this time. Tanlagu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Iron. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Iron. That's going to take a lot out of him. Iron has Tanlagu up against the cage in a clinch.
Tanlagu is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iron tries for a takedown but Tanlagu manages to get underhooks.
Tanlagu misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Iron.
Iron lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Iron lands a right hand. Iron lands on the inside with an uppercut. Dan Iron has scored more points in the clinch so far. Tanlagu pulls guard successfully.
Iron throwing strikes from guard but Tanlagu blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Iron slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Iron drops back looking for a leg! Tanlagu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tanlagu manages to kick Iron off! Iron jumps back into Tanlagu's guard.

Iron jumps back into Tanlagu's guard. Iron is pushing down on Tanlagu's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tanlagu is fighting to maintain full guard but Iron has managed to sneak the leg through. Iron decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Iron fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dan Iron is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Iron darts in looking for a takedown but Tanlagu gets double underhooks and turns Iron into the cage. Iron closes the distance and clinches. Iron manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Iron throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Tanlagu trying to control the position from guard on top but Iron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Iron bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tanlagu's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Iron accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Iron controls from within his opponent's guard. Iron throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Iron is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tanlagu is working an open guard so Iron takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Iron dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Iron shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Iron fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tanlagu avoids it really well and circles away. Iron shoots in looking for a takedown. Tanlagu tries to sprawl out of it but Iron keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tanlagu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tanlagu tries to counter by closing the distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Iron. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tanlagu leaves Iron with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Iron shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tanlagu defends it nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanlagu fails to land the takedown. Tanlagu shoots in and drives through. Iron sprawls well. As Tanlagu looks to move away, Iron throws a big counter combo but Tanlagu just gets out of the way. Iron throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tanlagu's waist but Tanlagu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Iron off to one side. Iron shoots in for a takedown but Tanlagu shows good takedown defense. Dan Iron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Iron clinches. Iron dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Iron decides to pull guard. Dan Iron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Iron holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanlagu throws a strike but Iron rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Iron landing with the ground and pound. Iron stays in close to Tanlagu's body and controls the position. Iron stands and steps away. Tanlagu gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Iron is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tanlagu can do to turn this around? Iron tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tanlagu swivels and escapes. Tanlagu cracks Iron with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Iron pushes Tanlagu up against the cage in a clinch. A bit of stalling here from Iron.
Iron blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Iron goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tanlagu prevents it.
Iron manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Iron is pulling down on Tanlagu's head. It's preventing any offense from Tanlagu, at least for the moment. Iron has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Tanlagu doesn't defend quickly enough and Iron has managed to lock this one up! Can Tanlagu escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Iron on a fantastic submission victory.
