Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robt Wilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Cheatly! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cheatly has closed the distance and engaged Wilson in a clinch.
Wilson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Wilson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cheatly avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Cheatly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cheatly throws a right and a left that Wilson avoids nicely. Cheatly lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wilson's sensitive parts. Wilson gets tackled into the cage by Cheatly. Cheatly maintains the clinch. Wilson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cheatly smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robt Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wilson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cheatly manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Cheatly wants to get back to his feet but Wilson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Wilson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cheatly manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wilson manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cheatly won't allow Wilson to get back to his feet. Wilson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Cheatly is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Cheatly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wilson is keeping the position for now. Cheatly's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Cheatly rushes Wilson and presses him up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheatly jumps into guard, dragging Wilson to the mat.
Cheatly bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wilson's guard. Wilson looking for a sweep. Not yet Wilson, not yet. Cheatly advances to half guard. It looks like Cheatly is going to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cheatly decides to stand up. Wilson misses with a double jab.
Cheatly shoots in for a takedown but Wilson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wilson fails with a takedown attempt. Wilson is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cheatly throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Cheatly fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wilson, pushing him back against the cage. Cheatly goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wilson prevents it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cheatly breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cheatly shoots in but no luck this time. Cheatly rushes Wilson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cheatly has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cheatly pulls guard. Cheatly pulls Wilson in to control the position. Cheatly is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mike Cheatly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cheatly throws a head kick that misses and Wilson counters with a left and a right that stings Cheatly. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cheatly is pressed up against the cage. Wilson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cheatly down to the mat. Cheatly avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cheatly clinches with his opponent.
Wilson is looking to take this one to the mat. Wilson jumps guard but Cheatly stands there with Wilson around his waist. Wilson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cheatly is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wilson is just riding it out for now. Cheatly eventually gives up the hold. Cheatly looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheatly is keen to just control but Wilson is a slippery customer. Wilson looking for submissions off his back. Cheatly passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cheatly is working for a guillotine from mount but Wilson frees his head quite easily.
Wilson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cheatly. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cheatly looking to control but Wilson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Cheatly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cheatly looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilson is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson with a flurry of punches that miss. Wilson throwing strikes from guard but Cheatly blocks nicely. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Cheatly seems keen to control Wilson's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wilson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wilson working Cheatly over with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cheatly works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wilson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cheatly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wilson postures up in Cheatly's guard and throws a big left but Cheatly blocks it. Cheatly working a defensive guard here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wilson misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cheatly misses with a takedown and Wilson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Wilson fails with the takedown. Wilson lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Wilson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cheatly. Robt Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Cheatly. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nice sprawl there from Wilson as Cheatly shoots in.
