The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thor misses with a hook
and Barksdale counters with a left and a right that stings Thor.
Thor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barksdale was well out of range. Poor timing from Thor.
Barksdale has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Thor is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Barksdale ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thor moves away.
Barksdale throws a head kick but Thor moves out of range.

Thor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Barksdale throws out the jab.
Thor dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Barksdale. That did some damage!

Barksdale swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Barksdale lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Thor throws a jab but it's blocked by Barksdale.

Barksdale lands a high kick to the side of Thor's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Barksdale dives into guard, looking to finish.
Thor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Barksdale throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thor works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Barksdale keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Thor's head.

Hans Thor's cut is getting worse.
Barksdale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Thor looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Barksdale missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Barksdale postures up in Thor's guard and throws a big left but Thor blocks it.

Thor cracks Barksdale with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Thor throws a looping overhand right but Barksdale ducks down to avoid it.
Thor moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Hans Thor's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Barksdale throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thor is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Jeez, Hans Thor's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Nice uppercut lands for Thor. That snapped Barksdale's head back.
Thor throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Barksdale steps into range and cracks Thor with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Thor flops backwards and Barksdale dives into his guard looking to finish!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hans Thor's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
