The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bugle misses with a takedown attempt - Tevez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bugle looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tevez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bugle is looking to stand up but Tevez won't let him. Bugle preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tevez is working hard here to advance position. Tevez seems keen to control Bugle's posture. Bugle with a flurry of punches that miss. Tevez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tevez wants to improve his position but instead Bugle has moved into half guard.
Bugle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tevez keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bugle wants to clinch up but Tevez keeps it at a distance. Bugle shoots in for a double leg but Tevez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bugle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tevez as he jumps to the side. Ikky Tevez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Readen Bugle. Tevez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Tevez scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Tevez seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tevez controlling his opponent. A nice elbow there by Tevez. Bugle can't escape the position.

Tevez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bugle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bugle has momentary wrist control but Tevez slips an elbow through the middle. Bugle controls Tevez momentarily but Tevez frees himself. Tevez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bugle's head. Bugle looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bugle tries to clinch up. Tevez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Tevez prevents Bugle from escaping the position. Tevez wants to stand but Bugle is controlling his arm. Tevez stands up. Bugle doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tevez counters with a takedown into side control. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bugle wants to clinch but Tevez slips to the side and Tevez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bugle's guard now. Tevez working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tevez cracks Bugle with a solid left hand. Bugle avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tevez passes Bugle's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Tevez stops Bugle from getting back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tevez throws and elbow that misses. Bugle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tevez's guard. Nice move by Bugle! Ikky Tevez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tevez controlling the position.
