Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Gardner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaston Reyno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Franklin Gardner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gaston Reyno! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gardner gets a clinch. Reyno breaks the clinch.
Reyno darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Reyno missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Reyno missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Reyno is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gardner gets back to full guard.
Reyno trying to control but Gardner is working from the bottom. Gardner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gardner is pulling down on Reyno's head to control his posture. Reyno throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gardner keeping moving, preventing Reyno from controlling successfully. Gardner had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reyno defends it easily. Reyno wanted to stand there but Gardner had control of the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gardner is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gardner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gardner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Reyno looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gardner is one step ahead there. Reyno trying to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Reyno closes the distance but Gardner moves to the side and Gardner counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyno misses with a body kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gardner. Gardner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gardner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Reyno wants to control but Gardner postures up. Reyno is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gardner has just dragged him back down to the mat. Gardner decides to stand back up. Gardner steps back and let's Reyno get back to his feet. Reyno tries a head kick but it misses.
Reyno feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyno has gone for a leg lock! Gardner slips out almost immediately though and dives into Reyno's guard.
Reyno looks winded! Gardner stands up from Reyno's guard - Gardner perhaps looking for a knockout. Reyno misses with a low kick.

and Gardner holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reyno missing with knees to the body.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gardner is struggling to control the position. Gardner works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Reyno is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gardner is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franklin Gardner dominated that round. That's time! Gardner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gardner moves into the clinch. Gardner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reyno scores with a jab to the body. Reyno throws a head kick but Gardner moves out of range.
Gardner seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Gaston Reyno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gardner tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Reyno shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gardner is trying to defend but Reyno finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Gardner has one foot on Reyno's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reyno wants to land a leg kick but Gardner is out of range. Reyno throws a lazy body kick and Gardner holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Gardner breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyno drives through with a takedown into guard. Reyno is breathing heavily. Gardner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gardner looking for a sweep. Not yet Gardner, not yet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gardner is on top in guard.
Gardner landing with the ground and pound. Gardner keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reyno's head. Gardner is fighting to break Reyno's control of his arms but Reyno is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Gardner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reyno's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyno has momentary wrist control but Gardner slips an elbow through the middle. Reyno has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gardner has passed into side control.
Reyno tries to improve position but can't. Gardner works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Gardner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reyno, who protects the arm well. Gardner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyno tries to control but Gardner manages to take his back. Reyno wants to escape the position.
Gardner has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Reyno looking very determined here, making life difficult for Gardner.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gardner has the hooks in. Reyno is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Reyno is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Reyno working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gardner looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Reyno gets to his feet. Gardner looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Gardner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reyno can do to turn this around? Reyno wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reyno takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Reyno looking to score a takedown here. Gardner is defending well but Reyno drives through and ends up in Gardner's guard. Gardner controlling the position. Gardner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reyno is one step ahead there. Gardner is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gardner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reyno defends well. Reyno wants to control from the top but Gardner keeps moving. Gardner is trying to keep Reyno in close.
Reyno throws an elbow that misses. Gardner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Reyno's guard. Nice move by Gardner!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gardner works over Reyno with some ground and pound from guard. Reyno wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Gardner is now in half guard. Gardner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Reyno trying to control from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The fighters are battling for position here. Reyno manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Franklin Gardner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gardner is working Reyno over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Reyno is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Reyno wants to control but Gardner is keeping him busy. Gaston Reyno has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gardner is looking to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gardner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Franklin Gardner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Reyno preventing the sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! Franklin Gardner showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gardner, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
