These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elijah Spector!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salavez throws a solid leg kick but Spector takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Salavez.
Salavez moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSpector.
Spector shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Salavez as he avoids it easily.
Hector Salavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Spector with that takedown attempt.

Salavez is looking for a sweep. Spector is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Salavez wants to control but Spector is keeping busy.
We've been hearing good reports from Salavez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spector escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Salavez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Salavez looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Spector can't hide his disappointment, as Salavez celebrates the victory.
