Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between lyoto emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pieter Aart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). emelianenko's entrance music is Darude - Sandstorm. A fine choice. Aart has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. lyoto emelianenko looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Aart has hold of one of emelianenko's legs. emelianenko is fighting the takedown attempt but Aart gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Aart stands and throws emelianenko's legs to the side, diving into side control.
emelianenko tries to bench press Aart off him but Aart keeps the position.
emelianenko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Aart takes a little break here. emelianenko wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
emelianenko is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Aart is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

I looks like Aart might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

BOOM! Aart connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Aart has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Despite being in the dominant position, Pieter Aart just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Aart will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
emelianenko stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Aart.

Aart dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Aart darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Aart uses his free foot to push down on emelianenko's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for emelianenko.

Aart takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Aart has hold of emelianenko's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and emelianenko manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aart tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
