Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gonzala Kerrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Faramir Gondor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kerrison comes to the cage accompanied by "The Unforgiven III"-Metallica. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Faramir Gondor! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gondor moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Gonzala Kerrison has been cut. Gondor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kerrison is looking to stand back up but Gondor counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kerrison. Kerrison trying to control here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gondor tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kerrison knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Gondor is working for a submission of some sort.
Gondor stands up out of the half guard. Kerrison tries to clinch there but Gondor circles away.
Kerrison tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gondor swivels and escapes. Gondor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kerrison counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kerrison. Gondor wants a takedown but no success here.
Kerrison is pressed up against the cage. Gondor has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kerrison down to the mat. Kerrison avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Gonzala Kerrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Faramir Gondor.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Gondor finds it's way through Kerrison's defenses. Kerrison fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gondor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kerrison to the mat! Kerrison manages to get full guard. Kerrison trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Gondor with a flurry of punches that miss. Kerrison trying to keep a closed guard but Gondor is proving a slippery customer.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gondor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gondor decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Gondor looks gassed! Gondor looks to land a left hand but Kerrison moved out of range nicely. Kerrison shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gondor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kerrison counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gondor is lucky that one didn't land flush. Kerrison fails in his attempt to clinch. Gondor getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gondor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gondor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! This has been an exciting period of action! Gondor with shots to the head and body - Kerrison looks very uncomfortable down there. The referee warns Kerrison that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Gondor with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gondor is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kerrison can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gondor is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kerrison can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gondor stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Gondor scores with a jab. Kerrison acknowledges it with a nod of the head. No joy there for Gondor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gondor throws a combination that misses and Kerrison counters with a shoot takedown. Gondor fights it but they end up in guard. Gondor uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kerrison is looking to clinch but Gondor is avoiding it.
Faramir Gondor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gondor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gondor showed some decent athleticism there. Kerrison trying to control but Gondor postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gondor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kerrison sprawls well initially but Gondor persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gondor seems to be working for a kimura but Kerrison defends the submission attempt. Gondor scoring with strikes to the body and head. Gondor prevents Kerrison from improving his position. Kerrison taking some punishment here, with Gondor in his half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kerrison is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Gondor pulls his head out easily. Gondor seems to be working for a kimura but Kerrison defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kerrison on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kerrison shoots for a takedown but Gondor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gondor has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Kerrison misses with a takedown attempt and Gondor counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kerrison's guard now. Gondor stands up over Kerrison, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Gondor decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kerrison, up you get! Gondor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gondor is nestled in close to Kerrison, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gondor working over Kerrison with some ground and pound. Kerrison looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. This has been an exciting period of action! Kerrison wants to get back to his feet. Kerrison knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gondor on the ground. Gondor is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kerrison has managed to free his arm - good work. Gondor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerrison tries to get to full guard but Gondor has control of the leg. Faramir Gondor has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gondor winds up and cracks Kerrison with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Gondor trying to control from half guard but Kerrison is working away. Gondor lands strikes from half guard. Gondor passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kerrison! Gondor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Gondor looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Kerrison wants to clinch but Gondor slips to the side and Gondor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kerrison wants to sweep but no luck. Kerrison will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gondor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gondor gets to his feet - Kerrison follows without any prompting.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerrison gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gondor counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gonzala Kerrison. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gondor bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gondor looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gondor stands up and we're back to a striking position. Kerrison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gondor's waist but Gondor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kerrison off to one side. Kerrison misses with a takedown and Gondor counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kerrison's guard now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kerrison misses with a takedown attempt and Gondor counters with a single leg into guard. Kerrison didn't expect that. Kerrison wants to stand up but Gondor is controlling him. Gondor preventing the sweep. Gondor cracks Kerrison with a solid left hand. Kerrison not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gondor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Gondor scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kerrison?
Gondor lands a heavy elbow. Gondor prevents Kerrison from getting the reversal. Gondor punishing his opponent with strikes. Gondor looking for a guillotine from mount but Kerrison is having none of it. Gondor goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kerrison turns into him and now he's in Gondor's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kerrison shoots in looking for a takedown. Gondor tries to sprawl out of it but Kerrison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gondor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gondor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gondor lands in his opponent's guard. Kerrison working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gondor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gondor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gondor is pushing down on Kerrison's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kerrison is fighting to maintain full guard but Gondor has managed to sneak the leg through. Kerrison is looking for a sweep. Gondor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gondor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Faramir Gondor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Gondor winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
