The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brouillard is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Simon's half guard.
Simon tries to kick Brouillard off but Brouillard keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Brouillard manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Simon is fighting off a takedown attempt but Brouillard is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Simon to the mat. Simon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Simon pushes Brouillard off and gets back to his feet.
Alexis Brouillard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brouillard manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Simon on his heels. He'll look to pass Simon's guard now, I'm sure.
Simon is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Brouillard presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Brouillard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Simon is proving hard to escape from.

Simon throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Brouillard escapes and throws Simon's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Brouillard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Simon, pushing him back against the cage.

Simon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brouillard is trying to defend but Simon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Brouillard manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Simon keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Alexis Brouillard is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Brouillard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Simon was covering up waiting for the punch and Brouillard finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well Brouillard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
