Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Patel! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patel rushes Jackson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Patel letting Jackson take a breather here. Jackson gets underhooks to prevent Patel's takedown attempt.
Jackson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Patel.
Patel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage. Andrew Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Patel. Patel fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jackson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jackson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. A nice left hand lands by Jackson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Patel tries to score a body lock takedown but Jackson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Jackson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Jackson lands a left hand.
Jackson lands a body punch. Patel looks winded! Come on Jackson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Still in the clinch, Jackson scores with a nice short uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson works on Patel's body with a couple of short punches. Jackson stalling the fight.
Jackson pushes Patel back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jackson. Jackson scores with a shoulder strike. A nice glancing elbow lands by Jackson. Patel is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jackson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Nice body punch from Jackson. Jackson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Patel jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Patel around his waist. Patel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jackson just leaning against Patel, taking a breather. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Jackson for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Andrew Jackson. Patel walks into a stiff left hand from Jackson.
Patel is rocked! Andrew Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patel walks straight into a right hand from Jackson - that's dropped him! Jackson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Patel from any more punishment! Patel complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
